This is a last minute reminder about our Referee Development Program that commences Monday evening, August 24, 6:00pm-8:00pm at the Wenatchee Valley Sportsplex. (The Old Ice Arena at the base of Fifth Street in Wenatchee).
Youth, 12-15 years of age are eligible for this program that is completely funded by the Wenatchee Valley Youth Soccer Association. After training is complete, RDP graduates will be qualified to officiate U8-U10 soccer games for both Fall & Spring soccer seasons for 2009-2010. Graduates are paid $10 per game, provided a referee jersey, cards, game sheets and a whistle. Graduates are required to purchase their own stopwatch for time keeping and appropriate field apparel, (black shorts, socks, black sweat pants, athletic shoes). Games are assigned on a weekly basis, first come, first served. Youth officials are assessed and evaluated on a weekly basis and receive weekly helps and tips from the RDP Director.
This is a great program for youth who are looking to get some exercise, develop leadership skills, give back to the game and the kids it serves, and earn some extra money. Our goal is to have qualified RDP officials serving out of each member Club in our Association. Officials will not be required to travel outside of their respective Clubs venues to officiate games. Game days are played Monday-Thursday evenings, 5:30pm-8pm, and all day on Saturday.
The mandatory training requirements for all new RDP candidates is as follows:

Grade 9 Clinic
#2946: Wenatchee Grade 9 ELC, Summer 2009
Entry Level Associate Grade 9: Entry Level Associate Grade 9: 8 hour clinic. Upon completion of the clinic a referee will be able to referee recreational youth games up to U-14
- Cost and Fee Information
- $30.00. Wenatchee Valley Youth Soccer Assn (WVYSA) is sponsoring this clinic for attendees from within the WVYSA area that are at least 16 years of age or older and will be paying the attendance fee for those individuals only. All ohter attendees will be expected to pay the $30 attendance fee. Space is limited and priority will be given to local attendees meeting the sponsorship criteria first.
USSF $50.00 Registration fee is separate and due upon passing the test in order to complete registration with USSF. - Sponsored By
